Back to School: Grade School Edition
Aug 18th 2021
Since we already took care of our college aged kids, now we must start thinking about getting our elementary, middle, and high school aged kids ready for school. Obviously, we cannot help you with pencils, notebooks, and folders, but we can help you with the bags that they carry those items in and some other essentials.
- We know every kid has to have a backpack that they identify with whether they are in kindergarten or
a senior in high school. With that in mind, make sure you select one that is
comfortable for all-day carry. Totes and crossbody bags may look cool, but in
the long run they are bad for the back. Here are some of our favorites.
- Deuter Youth Pico Backpack
- Deuter Youth Kikki Backpack
- The North Face Men’s Vault Bag
- The North Face Daypack
- The North Face Women’s Recon Backpack
- Fjallraven Kanken Mini Backpack
- Fjallraven Vardag 28 Laptop Bag
- Jansport Right Pack Expressions Backpack
- Jansport West Break Backpack
- Patagonia Men’s Refugio 28L Backpack
- It doesn’t matter where you live, it’s important to have good rain gear that will keep your kids protected year-round. The Red Ledge Youth Thunderlight Parka or Columbia Girl’s Arcadia Jacket are both great jackets. They are packable, waterproof, breathable, and have hoods.
- A water bottle or tumbler is essential! Walking to and from classes is exercise and kids will exert energy. It’s important to keep them hydrated throughout the day. Drinking enough water a day helps to regulate temperature, prevent infection, and helps with cognition and mood. Check out our selection of Yeti and Hydroflask water bottles. Both will keep your kid’s water cold for hours and most sizes can easily fit in the side pocket of their backpack.
- Don’t forget the Anti-bacterial
Hand Gel and face
masks.
