Give Back On Philanthropy Day with Ramsey Outdoor

This Tuesday, November 12th, is Philanthropy Day, and here at Ramsey, this is something we take seriously year-round! We are always looking for new ways and organizations to which we can help others and our environment. This year, in honor of National Philanthropy Day, Ramsey Outdoor will be having a coat drive beginning on November 12th and lasting until the end of the year. Receive 20% OFF a new, regularly priced coat* with the donation of a used coat. Where can you donate your gently used coats? Stop by one of our locations during regular business hours anytime this year, it’s that easy!
There are also other ways you can support charities through brands that give back all year long. We’ve highlighted a few of our favorites below.
4 Ocean: By purchasing their bracelet made with post-consumer recycled materials, you will remove 1 pound of trash from the oceans and coastlines. Since 2017, 4 Ocean has collected over 7 million pounds of plastic and other harmful marine debris from our oceans and coasts.
United by Blue: United by Blue is a sustainable clothing company whose goal is simple, for every product sold they remove 1 pound of trash from our oceans and waterways. To date, they have collected over 2 million pounds of trash.
10 tree: 10 tree is a sustainable clothing company whose mission is to plants 10 trees for every product purchased, with a goal of planting 1 billion trees by 2030. With over 20 projects in more than 10 countries, 10 tree has planted over 20 million trees so far.
Patagonia 1% for the Planet: 1% for the Planet is an alliance of businesses that understand the necessity of protecting the natural environment.Since 1985, Patagonia has pledged 1% of all sales to the preservation and restoration of the natural environment. They have awarded over $89 million in cash and in-kind donations to domestic and international grassroots environmental groups making a difference in their local communities.

Seminar
and Pint Night: Thursday, November 14,
2019 from 7PM to 9PM at our Succasunna location. Sponsored by Osprey, The
New York New Jersey Trail Conference and Jersey Girl Brewing Company. "Great
Hikes Off the Beaten Path" with Don Weise.
This event is free to the public. With a donation to the NYNJTC, you will get
an Osprey pint glass. Suggested donation is $10. We will be serving Jersey Girl
Brewing Co. Beer. Ages 21+ only. All donations go directly to the NYNJTC.
Coffee with Kuhl: Please join us in BOTH locations on Saturday, November 30th from 10AM to 2PM for Coffee with Kuhl! This event is FREE to the public. In our Succasunna location; with a donation to the Lake Hopatcong Foundation, you will get a FREE coffee mug, FREE coffee, and be able to meet and talk to a representative from the Lake Hopatcong Foundation and Kuhl. In our Ramsey location; with a donation to Hackensack Riverkeeper, you will get a FREE coffee mug, FREE coffee, and be able to meet and talk to a representative from Hackensack Riverkeeper and Kuhl. We will also have special in-store sales, raffles, and free giveaways!
