  1. Snow Tubing: Kids of all ages love to go to snow tubing! What isn’t there to like about flying down a mountain of snow on an innertube? NJ and the surrounding area is home to some of the best snow tubing parks in the USA!
  2. Ice Skating: Teach the kids to ice skate! Roosevelt Park’s family rink in Edison overlooks the lake. Looking for a bigger rink with a view? Try Newport Skates or Ice at the Pier. Located in Jersey City, Newport Skates overlooks the Hudson and New York City. Ice at the Pier is in Long Branch and has an ocean view.
  3. Ice Fishing: Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner, ice fishing provides sport and fun for all who dare to venture onto the ice!
  4. Snowshoeing: Strap on a pair of snowshoes and explore the unspoiled terrain while getting a great workout! There are a ton of great trails for snowshoeing in NJ. A few favorites are the Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area, Wawayanda State Park, or Jenny Jump. If you’re looking for more even terrain to start, pick a Rail Trail like Paulinskill Valley or Sussex Branch.
  5. Maple Sugaring: Go on an educational adventure of deliciousness! On various dates from February through April, learn how maple syrup is made, taste test, and bring home a few souvenirs. Mmmmm.

With so much fun packed into this list, you may have to try everything at least once! Gear up for an adventurous winter with Ramsey Outdoor!
