Recycle Your Outdoor Gear with Gear Forward

Posted by Ramsey Outdoor on Apr 19th 2019

This Monday, April 22nd, is Earth Day, but we should look for ways to reduce our carbon footprint every day of the year. A charity that helps to do just that while helping others and that we love to support is Gear Forward. Gear Forward provides the next generation of adventurers, Scoutmasters, and Girl Scout Leaders the resources they need to get outdoors by collecting and recycling equipment and uniforms. No child should be denied all the beauty and splendor that the outdoors has to offer because they cannot afford the necessary equipment.

Interested in donating and wondering exactly what can be donated? Gear Forward accepts gently used gear like tents, backpacks, sleeping mats, sleeping bags, snow gear, cooking gear, climbing harnesses, boots, Scout uniforms, and more! You can even locate troops and schools locally in your area and see what their needs are with their Gear Needs Map!

Where can you donate your gently used equipment? Stop by one of our locations during regular business hours anytime this year, it’s that easy!

Gear up for adventure with Ramsey Outdoor!
