This week, Ramsey Outdoor had the pleasure of sponsoring the Banff Mountain Film Festival, World Tour in Suffern, New Jersey at the beautiful Lafayette Theater. The Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival takes place every year in Banff, Alberta. It is over a week of mountain stories that include, “profound journeys, unexpected adventures, and ground-breaking expeditions told by authors, photographers, and filmmakers from around the globe.” Afterwards, we are lucky enough to have the World Tour visit us in the New York / New Jersey area!
After 3 hours of incredible stories, we wanted to share one of our favorites with you: Ace and the Desert Dog. This is a story about a man; Ace Kvale, and his companion…his dog, Genghis Kahn (aka: Desert Dawg). Upon Ace’s 60th birthday, he planned a 60 day, 400 mile backpacking trip from his home in Utah with his blue heeler, Genghis Kahn. It is a beautiful story about love, loyalty, companionship, and dedication. We think that this feel good story is 9 minutes that are sure to brighten your week.
