July 4th is right around the corner and nothing is more special than watching fireworks with the family. Did you know, the very first 4th of July fireworks debuted more than 200 years ago in Philadelphia? The tradition continues in small towns and big cities across America. Let us help you plan for the big night with the checklist below.
- Camping Chairs: Camping chairs fold up and are easily portable. A really comfortable way to watch the brilliant display of fireworks with friends and family.
- Blankets: If you can’t carry enough chairs for everyone, pack a blanket instead. It’s the perfect way for the whole family to sit together and watch the show.
- Cooler: Bring a cooler stocked with drinks and snacks. This will ensure you and the kids can stay hydrated and won’t be hungry during the festivities. Plus, it can double as a table!
- Grill: If you’re watching fireworks at a place that allows grilling, pack a portable grill. Nothing says summer like hot dogs on the grill and everything will fit perfectly in your cooler. You can also use your portable stove in lieu of a fire to make some delicious S’mores.
- Bug Repellant: Keep those pesky bugs away. Make sure to pack bug spray, lotion, or wipes so everyone is protected against mosquitoes, ticks, biting flies, and more.
- Glowsticks: Glowsticks are fun for kids of all ages. Plus, they are a safe way to help you keep track of everyone in the dark.
- Pre-Firework Fun: Keep everyone occupied and start the fun before the big show. Bring a deck of playing cards so you can play Go Fish or Rummy, or bring a frisbee to toss around and have some fun!
With the list above, this 4th of July will be the best one yet. Have a safe and happy Independence Day from Ramsey Outdoor.
