Tog(Blackfish) Trip Aboard The Big Mohawk
Join us on the Big Mohawk for a full day of Inshore ocean fishing adventure with Captain Payton.
We will host a limited booked trip of 25 guests for blackfishing. The boat can hold over 40 anglers. The Big Mohawk is a premier, highly-rated party fishing boat based in Belmar, New Jersey, specializing in full-day and half-day bottom fishing trips for blackfish, sea bass, and fluke. Known as one of the hardest-working boats on the Jersey Shore, it features an experienced crew, and comfortable cabin seating.

Gear Recommendations:
Rod & Reel rentals are available free of charge. Rigs are free. Sinkers are two dollars per sinker. Green Crabs free of charge. White leggers available for purchase.
- Rod & Reel – 6½ or 7-foot medium rod with Penn Jigmaster or equivalent conventional reel (20 to 30-lb monofilament)
- Tackle – 3/4-3oz Blackfish Jigs, 6 to 10-oz bank sinkers, 2/0 and 3/0 bait holder hooks, 30-lb test leader material.
