This rod is best suited for throwing eels, darters, Dannie's, and any other lipped swimming baits that are not aerodynamic. The slower recovering action prevents extra tumble that a faster action rod will produce in the un-aerodynamic plugs. This rod is also a great choice for anglers using light leaders for light bait and circle hooks. The moderate tip lets you throw 3 oz. and 4 oz. sinkers on very light 15 lb. fluorocarbon leaders without having to worry about the leaders breaking. The autoclave technology provides a completely void-free and resin lean composite, while the blended premium carbon fiber construction provides the best possible performance, strength, and durability. The EVA shrink tube grips are non-slip and lightweight and the anti-twist technology keeps the rod blank straight and true, even under torsional loads of casting and fish fighting. This rod also features one coat of slow cure epoxy for reduced weight and delamination.
