The Mepps #5 Bronze Slammer Spinner is a tournament grade spinner designed with an emphasis on catching big smallmouth bass on large bodies of water. The hand painted blades and bodies with glitter mimc various bait fish patterns that bass feed on. They also add contrast to the blinding underwater flash of the silver, gold, and black nickel blades. The solid brass clevis is what allows the blade on this spinner to start spinning as soon as the lure hits the water. Featuring a perfect balance of premium hand-tied bucktail and flashabou, the flashabou is designed to be more pronounced in the middle to create extra tail action and more flash when swimming through the water. The dressed treble hook is designed to offer an extra large profile that is over 20% larger than the standard Dressed Aglia profile. This VMC Barbarian Treble Hook features a technical locking curve to offer a 25% improved hook up rate, which decreases the chance of losing out on a big fish.
